Tampa's Super RV show slated for Jan. 11-15

Florida's largest RV show will be held Jan. 11-15 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

Officially billed as the Florida RV SuperShow and sponsored by the Florida RV Trade Association, the 26th annual event will boast more than 1,100 recreational vehicles ranging from pop-ups to 40-plus foot luxury motor homes. About 350 exhibits will offer information on such topics as campgrounds, RV financing, insurance, suppliers and maintenance specialists. Seminars will include Choosing an RV, Extended RV Travel, and other topics to be announced.

Daily contests will include two travel trailers as grand prizes. Live entertainment, free shuttle service from parking areas, food and refreshments will be offered.

Industry Day on Tuesday, Jan. 10 is not open to the public, but the rest of show is from Jan. 11-14 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults with $1 off for seniors. Children under 16 are free.

There are numerous hotels, motels and campgrounds in the area. Camp sites are offered at the fairgrounds for $159 per rig, plus two adults. The price includes four nights, 30 amp service, light breakfast each morning, entertainment and admission to the exhibit areas. There are no dump or shower facilities. Call (813) 741-0688.
